Karim Rashid

Time magazine has described it as "the most recognized American industrial designer, with more than 3,000 designs in production, more than 300 awards and works from more than 40 countries testifying to its design legend.

Antoine Lesur

Graduated from the Boulle school in 2002 and with a ten-year experience in agencies - including five at Patrick Jouin, Antoine Lesur created in 2012 his own design studio. Sensitive and technical, her work explores multiple disciplines ranging from product design to space design and furnishing, with the key words innovation and accuracy. Since the beginning of his career, he has won many prizes and competitions, including the first prize in the Emile Hermès competition in 2014.

 

Christophe Pillet

Nichetto Studio

In 2006 Luca Nichetto founded a multidisciplinary design studio in Venice, Italy, which specialised in industrial design, product design and design consultancy. From the very beginning, this studio collaborated with a number of different brands and organisations, quickly expanding its influence far beyond Venice and Italy’s borders. Five years later, in 2011, Nichetto opened a second studio in Stockholm, Sweden.

Boris Berlin Design

Boris Berlin started his career as industrial and graphic designer in St. Petersburg after graduation in 1975.  In 1984 he founded Boris Berlin Design in Denmark. In 1987 he became a founding partner of Komplot Design and in 2010 founding partner of Iskos-Berlin Design. During these years Boris Berlin has developed his design philosophy, being focused on experimenting with new technologies and materials and their impact on design of everyday objects.

Nathan Yong

Nathan Yong graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a diploma in Industrial Design in 1991. He began his career not as a designer, but as a buyer as well as engaging in product development for various companies in Singapore. Through these jobs, he travelled to various countries including India, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia to source for quality manufacturers and craftsmen to develop and manufacture furniture and home accessories. Through this exposure, he learnt various production techniques and crafts. 

His work is inspired by observation of the visual environment, and then challenges the existential questions of the objects. Instead of superfluous details, he captures the poetry of products through a stripping process, lending object qualities that are informed by a lightness of restraints.

Moritz Böttcher and Sören Henssler completed projects together even during their studies. After their graduation, they gained experience in various design offices and in 2007 founded their own studio in Berlin. Nikolaus Kayser completed the team starting in 2013. The trio works for international brands in the design areas of consumer goods, furniture, lights, and textiles. With various approaches, the three designers use their individual experience to create unique, functional and poetic objects.

Oliver Schick

Oliver Schick was born in 1969 in Darmstadt, a small town which is one of Germany‘s most important places regarding the history of the Art Nouveau movement in the end of the 19th century. Affected by the cultural past of his hometown, he studied product design at the HBK - University of fine arts and Design in Saarbruecken. The first years after graduation, he worked as freelance designer for several studios and in 2005 he founded his own studio with the focus on furniture, lighting and interior design and since he works for outside companies such as Ligne Roset, Skandiform and Gubi. In addition he works on a range of experimental projects with design-related themes like materials, functions, usage and sustainable development.

 

Bonpart

Bonpart is a Vienna based furniture and product design studio founded by Verena Waidmann and Lukas Gstöttner in 2016. They discovered a shared understanding of design during studies, where they were already working together on different projects. Since then, their collaboration is a permanent dialogue, in which they draw upon different backgrounds in engineering and fine art. In their work they aim for elegance, timeless beauty and intelligent solutions. Having a hands on approach, they experience technical feasibility as part of the creative process and often as a source of inspiration.
